 Introduction:

A comprehensive 1 day course covering all practical and knowledge based aspects of cardiac catheterisation. The course will consist of lectures complimented by ‘hands on’ practical workshops.

      You will get to grips with aspects of angiography which are traditionally poorly taught, such as

      radiographic views etc. as well as giving you an opportunity to get some great tips on catheter

      selection/manipulation in difficult cases.

-     Cath-lab staff (cardiac physiologists/nurses/radiographers).

Comprehensive lectures on the practical aspects of:

-     Introduction to the cardiac catheter lab

-     Coronary anatomy and radiographic projections

-     Left and right heart study

-     Haemostasis and vascular closure devices

Introduction:

The purpose of the course is to enable trainees to develop a systematic approach to cardiac emergencies and enable you to come to a diagnosis quickly and instigate an appropriate management plan.
